If you guys are using Ren'Py: if you ever need help with scripting, just give me a holler. I wouldn't mind helping out if you have the file handy.

Sweet, thanks Coryn. The story of The Prophet will soon be unveiled. I've been writing like a madman in the last week so I'm probably going to have two things to post come new year.

5
Yeah, I found the same problem as Coryn. Definitely find another way to distinguish the two when they're in the same scene. You got my lines pretty well so I'm happy about that. And the powers are interesting, I'll give it that.

Hmmm, perhaps I should write my character's origin story for the MRverse so that that can be referenced in later works like this. I have a ton of ideas now on what I'd do with it.

Edit: Where exactly would I put that origin story? Is there a specific thread I should do that on?

Before you request any artists you should consider doing a few things:

1) Go to the welcome center and introduce yourself.
2) Post some of your work so that the artists can see your skill level.
3) Get involved in the community and make some friends.

Between those three things you're much more likely to land an artist. Just some helpful advice.

I'm interested but not sold. I have a google docs with well over 50 original documents on it so if you want someone to just archive and organize information I can do that in my spare time (the average number of pages per document is around 5). ...It's actually something I kind of enjoy.

Also, do you have any experience managing a group? I've been in groups before that have people who don't manage very well. It's a nightmare. Even if I don't join I can give you some management advice: keep your writing team to a solid 3 or 4, 3 preferred (including yourself). Anything more becomes too cramped. Trust me. I've been in groups like that before and the diminishing returns of collective creativity do not out-way the increasing cost of organization. Find quality members who will stick with you.

Here's some of my own work:

(I could easily write this in script. If you give me the format you want it in. Not hard to convert.)

Looking good!

Although for the first girl, and don't mind me saying this, but something is off about her breasts. They seem not to be the same size. Am I the only one who sees that?

Still taking crusaders for the panty raid? Mark me down for Lewd-tan. This sounds fantastic.

General Manga writer discussions / Re: Power/Series Scaling
« on: December 22, 2016, 02:35:02 PM »
There's nothing inherently wrong with power scaling in a battle series. Actually I think that's almost necessary in some respect. Whether the characters get better at fighting in terms of raw ability or in terms of skill, it just happens to be a natural trend in any series with fighting. It can grow to ridiculous amounts or stay relatively the same. Just as long as the fights themselves don't get boring there's nothing wrong with it.

General Manga writer discussions / Re: Your Best Writing Memories?
« on: December 22, 2016, 02:27:40 PM »
I'm back! Yay! Been a while since I was here and this is an older post but I'll toss my hand in anyway.

The times I get most motivated to write are when I have a friend who's expecting something from me. I share ideas I have with them and they give me feedback and things tend to go quicker once we've ironed everything out.

My favorite part of writing though isn't the actual writing. For me it's that moment when my friends and I get together and act out the story itself. We do that with our fan works and it's so much fun. Looking forward to that gives great inspiration and I feel like I can write more when I know that's around the corner.
