What pencils do you use, i myself use Derwent sketching pencils and id recomend to anyone
-
I use mechanical pencils and Faber Castell because my craft store doesn't like carrying the really good stuff. =/
-
trying to go more digital lately, but any .5 mechanical pencil will do
-
I'm using a "normal", which costs a few cents :D
-
Zebra M-301 .5 mechanical pencil and my Wacom Bamboo Fun digital pen.
-
I like the sakura pens a lot! I do all my non digital inking with them!
-
My personal favorites to draw with are the Staedtler brand pencils. I have the Art. no. 100 G12 kit on this page: http://www.staedtler.com/Mars_Lumograph_eng.Staedtler?ActiveID=2213 (http://www.staedtler.com/Mars_Lumograph_eng.Staedtler?ActiveID=2213)
I find that they almost never break (e.g. when you sharpen and a piece of graphite slips out) or have impurities which gives you that harsh feel as you draw. They cost more, but I personally think it's worth it. The Reeves brand has been ok for me too; less expensive and still a good feel; I like their woodless all graphite pencils.
-
I'm with Kite. I just use a normal pencil XD
-
I just use what ever pencil I find :D which could be art pencils, pencils, pens, colored pencils, or sharpies
-
Same here, I use any kind of pencil i grab my hands on, though i prefer wooden pencils. But i use mechanical pencils for colouring though.
-
I prefer to draw with my own pen (a 0.3 mm pencil);
-
Zebra M-301 .5 mechanical pencil and my Wacom Bamboo Fun digital pen.
I love these. I recently just bought their Drafix pencil and i'm digging it quite a bit. When i'm sketching more realism and I need detailed shading, I bust out my Faber Castell pencil set.
-
i like to use any light pencil for the basic outline, i don't know the names of pencils but i like ones that if you puch downt hard they mark the paper, not that i do that on purpose.
then i ink my drawings, or go over with a dark soft pencil
-
I am still using a normal pencil, not mechanical one, for some reason.
-
I use just a normal pencil...
I'm not Professional yet. ::)
-
i use mechanical pencil, but wooden pencil is OK
(i prefer mechanical one to wooden one because i don't have to sharpen it.)
-
I feel the same way Trio. I love the control wooden pencils give you but it gets annoying having to sharpen them over and over again.
-
Prefer to use anything with a hard led...mostly mechanical for me. .3mm or .5mm will do. --Prefer the former though.
I'm hoping to get some colored copic pencils to draw with soon though. :D Can't waittttt.
-
I don't do Traditional art anymore so all I ever use is a mechanical pencil xwx;
If I resort to sketches, I would use my old worn out ones from China :'D
-
im using just a normal pencil .. ordinary whatever I can find, for example the Monggol Pencil. By the way I usually use a 2 lead Monggol Pencil and another 1 lead.. sometimes mechanical
-
I use a normal pencil (like, any pencil I can get my hands on) for sketching, or a mechanical 0.7 one. 0.5 for finer details and the such.
However, when shading, I prefer Derwent Watercolour, whether I give it a water wash later or not. Derwent Inktense Black is pretty awesome too, better for blocking in dark shapes than Watercolour.
-
I usually use any kind of pencil I have at hand... But I prefer H lead pencils or mechanical pencils with HB lead.
-
I used to use .5 mechanicle but I've recently been swayed to using a H pencil for sketching and a series of pencils up to 6b for shading
-
depends on how good i want my drawing to be :P
if i'm just doodling or not being seriously serious, i will just use a HB for everything.
if i'm being kind of serious, i use a 3B for everything
if i am super serious i will sketch in HB, go over the lines in 3B, shade in 2-4B and light shading with 3-5H (the higher the better for me)
-
I usually would use mechanical pencils. But recently I've been using the HB, 6B and 2H pencils that came with the Faber-Castell Sketching kit my sister got me for Christmas, they're pretty good.
-
with more experience behind me i sketch in 2H, darken up in HB, and finish off in 2B with the heavier lines and shadows. if i need a really dark shadow then 3B (and higher) is fine.
-
I use many type of pencils ranging from 2h, f, hb, 2b, 4b, 5b, 6b depending on what i feel like using for the day. But i am really fond of drawing with mechanical pencil of whatever type either a 0.5mm or 0.7mm when i feel like im in the zone (drawing confidence feeling).
-
I use a mechanical pencil with 0.5 lead for sketching. For shading, I use 2B, 4B, and 8B wooden pencils. (I can't remember the brand lol) :3
-
I use a variety of cheap mechanical pencils. Normally they are 0.7. I had some of the Sakura 0.5 pencils and they where really nice but both of mine got jammed and stopped working in just a month or two of use.
-
I use H-kun for under sketches :3 She's smooth and kind to the paper, never sharpen her much either :sheep: I like using some 4B for rough draft, even a graphite 8B from time to time.
-
I prefer mechanical pencils because of the nice fine lines of the pencil lead. And wooden pencil points always break :noyoudon't:
-
Mechanical pencil and I use whateve lead brand is available.
