nice work. your images are quite cropped though, it would be nice to see the whole thing :P
in the last one, i really like how the lines on the sweater follow the body lines, this is one of the ways to show 3d-ness and you did this really well, especially on the torso.
i think the head is a bit too big compared to the body though :P
keep it up! you will get faster as you gain more experience as well, so just keep practicing :P

Arigato~!

I know, I had to cropped them to post them,  I appreciate your comments and will keep on improving, I had a wrist injury that had me pull out a bit off drawing.

?I will try drawing something up before the month end.?

It might be interesting to draw out characters created by you guys~?

Hello guys~(http://www.auplod.com/u/pudloa9aaf8.gif)
This one took me a lot of time to complete, I may have missed some steps drawing this but also I am quite satisfied for now about it, especially since it has been nearly 2 months since I last posted an art in my gallery~(http://www.auplod.com/u/dluopa9aaf7.gif)

She appears to get rather...thin there in the middle. The face, on the other hand, is fantastic for being at the angle that it's in.

I know, tbh, I think coming back after such a long period of tine to drawing, made me somewhat more sluggish and probably too lenient over the details~

Arigato~
It truly was kinda hard to draw, but I used it more to practice around the details and body line training, like I said tho, my wrist is kinda sore and I cannot keep drawing for more than 30 minutes.

Excellent work on the variety of face types. Everything looks super crisp for being in pencil. Some of the speech bubbles are a little hard to read, but I can gather a lot from the expressions. Seriously, though, take care of your wrist. Hopefully you don't wind up overstressing it.

I had various angles for each but, since it is still a draft for a manga that I have start~

I won't overdo it, I'll try taking at least a week off and rest it up a little.

That's an interesting way to offer people revenge. Like Mahlua said great variation on the faces and the like.

And yes. Rest it up. That pain can add multiplier damage and mess things right up.

Love the pages!

Thank you~!

I take rest while drawing after each 10-15 minutes, I try not to do "rushes" to much.

looking forward to it!
just a thought though, i think your work would look better if you drew on plain paper, that way the lines of the page dont get in the way. if you find it useful for guidelines, you can always put a sheet underneath the plain paper and it will show though.

I should but, since these are mostly rough drafts, I try to take every help that I would get out of of the lines, eventually, I will make them on a blank paper when I redo them~

I did two different previews for my story, If you could tell me which one of them is better, I would really appreciate it!

Opening 1:

The second one would be this one:

I did not think that I would be done before going away but, I guess I did~

the first one has a lot better flow i think. there is a lot more variety in panelling and camera angles.
might be good to up the contrast or adjust the levels on your pictures after scanning or photoing i found it quite hard to read the text :/

I see what you mean, when I took those pictures the text bubbles was much more "cleaner" but, once I had upload them, the quality reduced a little...

I will try keeping it in mind from now on tho~

you might find the quality is increased if you ink your pencil lines, and it will make it easier to edit on computer as well. do you have plain paper to draw on? the lined paper will make the quality look lower automatically as they split the drawing up :/

but looking forward to seeing more story :P
Title: Re: Unohana's work!
Post by: YoUr EyEs on November 01, 2017, 02:10:23 PM
I will do that~
I do have plain paper but, since these were mostly drafts, I did not want to use plain ones for it, I will use them for when I redraw all that~

Thank you~

I will do a thread some time (after doing all designs), telling you guys more about the characters~

I'd love to hear more about these characters and what all went into their designs, whenever you're willing to post them.

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before, but your art reminds me of something that happens sometimes in my art, where I'll focus on some parts of the body at a time and when I zoom back out and look at the whole, I confuse myself a little. Does that happen to you too?

Great work on keeping up on a comic, by the way. I can never keep myself focused and motivated on comics for long enough to complete even a single chapter!
Title: Re: YoUr EyEs Gallery work~
Post by: YoUr EyEs on December 17, 2017, 02:55:52 PM
Thank You~

I will post it ASAP, since I am working on the story and the setting around it, it might take a little while but, I will try to make it faster~

It happens to me more than once too! When I had designed Angel, I was so focused on whether I would nake her an Oni mask or a Okami mask but in the end, I fused both of them and when I zoomed back a little, I got confused, I even felt like it was not my own drawing that was in front of me.
One of the things that I have as a bad habit, when I get confuse over my own drawings, I feel like if I try to add more details or accessories, the drawing will be ruined, which always end up with small details.

Thank You! I have been working on this story for over a year or so, although I sometimes "pause" and go to another story or simple drawings, I always get back to it, maybe one day I will give the details on the long journey to how it became the story it is today, there was quite a lot of changes and different tests that I made with it.

Also, your comments made me so happy~

Nice to see an MC with some expressive qualities...or any notable qualities for that matter, lol. So many main characters get so washed up and boring, but I don't see that being the case with this one. Sorry to hear that it got the chop.

Thanks~ I love to play with the expressions that a human face can generate, in a manga, I prefer the non-verbal aspects more than the verbal ones~

In the first new one I can't tell if the character doesn't sleep well or if they're wearing eyeliner under the eyes. The second one has a good purpose. I think while you're using your camera instead of a scanner to send images, it might help to really push values, e.g. make the darks super dark and the lights almost white with your eraser if you have to, that way it prevents the camera from muddling up everything.

Thats the spirit!
It's best that we practice the things we can't do otherwise we wont ever get better!
You can always use a random photo to get an idea of which way the folds would go realistically. You don't have to draw every single fold as a copy, just get the general "oh there's one here, and one over here pointing this way" kinda feel.

I will try it out, I certainly need to get folding into art because, imo, they define a drawing with more than what we usually imagine.

Our weak imaginations hold us back when creating art just from our heads, because its so hard to recall specific details of things. I try and copy a piece of art or photo directly, then create a similar piece of my own design, but with the same folds or clothing design, from memory. The next day just glance at it, and try and draw another and that will help you to memorize how some clothes look and how the folds go. eventually you start to to be able to imagine/remember the folds in your head (this did happen to me at some point but I could still use improvement haha)

That's a great idea!
I think that's like solidifying a foundation, for example, you work on your memory to gain access to not only, remember the folding techniques but also, it expand on your creativity as well.
I saw, your drawings and they look amazing!

thanks :)
I think a foundation is definitely a good term for this because you can build off it in different directions depending on your style and the way you want to go, but you still need that basic understanding of how it works.

I agree entirely with that, only practice can lead us to where we wish to be, at the level that we want to each.

Haven't seen me for a while? Well, I am currently working with my friend on a story called "Slayers", I am just doing the arts and helping a little bit with the novel. Will probably post both on Mangaraiders to my parents here. You people are like a family to me.

I am half done with the cover but, since I am still learning on tablet, I keep working on with the old fashion pencil and eraser.

Most are on their chibi version though.
Here goes:

Thanks!
It's probably the best way that I have felt for a long time!
Might as well post another one than.

good to see you around :)
nice sketches. the transition to digital can be a bit of a pain, much like touch typing you slow down in productivity for a while until you get the rhythm back. looking forward to seeing digital works in the future, and seeing how that story goes!

I know what you mean, I am experiencing first hand how difficult that transition is. I seem to have found a new motivation to draw and write again so, there is basically no going away for me anymore.
It will be a good story imo, well, since I am the one making it, ofc I would say that lol.

that's the attitude!

Something I didn't realize until years after "successfully" transitioning to digital was that your workflow digital vs. traditional is quite different, in terms of the scale/zoom you work with, and using layers and stuff. Make sure to use the software's abilities to the full to make it do the job for you, rather than trying to keep your traditional workflow and putting effort in for no proper result, as I did :P

And, of course, patience is a must as you will probably spend a lot more time on the same level of drawing at first as you get used to the software and the digital style.

That may take time to learn and although that I usually am somewhat impatient lol, I think that's something that I can handle.
Thank you for informing me early, I tried to make the transition to digital by trying to implement the same methods that I used with paper and pen lol.

I made one extremely awful one already Oof,  I need to train more lol.

OHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHH!!!!
that's what we want to hear!

awesome tiger. the ears might be a little off somehow, but the rest looks great.

perhaps as digital practice you can trace over your traditional works. that saves the effort of making a good sketch while you are figuring it all out.

LOL at the ears, I didn't realize until I posted it. They look funny.

I might try this later today, I don't know whether I will get to finish it tho.

The chibis back there have such a variety of personality, and it looks like your line confidence is improving and you're able to get longer lines down without as much wobble as before. It's awesome that you're still active as well. I'd heard you'd been up to some good stuff. Glad to see I wasn't lied to.

Tbh, I feel like something opened up in me and I feel more confident and comfortable drawing, maybe the reason why I didn't wobble as much as before.
I check up on here from time to time but, since I am learning to draw on a tablet it might cause me to draw a little less on paper thus, posting them here.
I am glad to see that you are here too!

You definitely will get less wobble as you gain confidence, and your lines will be more definitely placed as well.

I hope so, it took me a lot of time before finally having one or two drawings done but, I can see the improvement too!

well practice will always make better, and copying photos helps too.
That feeling of not being satisfied will make sure that you are always pushing yourself to improve, so let's call that a good thing :P

I agree with Suup. I think your linework is really crisp and clean, and what could really push it to the next level is a little dynamic shading. I had problems with that for years because I was too, how do I put it? Scared, maybe? Of making the darks super dark and the lights almost white. My values were too close together and things were muddled, especially in low light pictures of my sketches. Now, I'm not saying "hey, go and push every shade from black to white!". Instead, it might be a nudge in the right direction for you to add maybe one darker shading value to your arsenal and see how it works with you.
