Roun's design is really cool imo. Nice costume too.

@TEA Thank you!

Art Update --

May... June...July... Aug - goodness, where did those months go?
Hello, dropping in once again. I've been resting up during the summer break mostly, but I haven't been idle! (procrastinating yes - but not idle! haha...)

Digital art is still going. Here are a few new ones:

Drawn for a contest on DA
Lane
BobbyJoeXForgotten's character, Lane, from her comic, Royal
Shoata
Drawing of an OC (she's a shadow being - gray skinned!)

I'll post more later.

Still been doing some traditional! Character sketches:

Shira
Atlus
Shawn

That's all for now. Till next time. ^^
No one is perfect . . . that's why there's erasers and extra paper.

That's a super nice variety you have in those character sketches! I feel what you mean about not exactly idle but definitely procrastinating. That's been me most of this summer too. Always nice to have you back.

That contest piece looks like a real winner to me. I love when people put hot and cold colors so close. It's a really soothing effect on the eyes.

I really do like the way you do the shading on the traditional characters. The bold lines really give things a sense of texture that you can kinda interpret as either fabric or hair.

Shira does not appear to be in a good way. And those are some seriously creepy looking leaves  those are kind of leaves man eating plants from Venus have...

great to see an update!
I love the traditional ones. the lines are great. and i love the hatching shading. I like how you vary the spacing between the lines in different areas as well.
creepy leaves for sure.

great contest entry too. that sort of style of art is a bit difficult for me to understand or critique, but it looks very cool.

Thanks guys! XD

@Mahlua It was contest where you had to draw someone's OC in the theme of "Spring Sunset", so it had me studying how to combine those different colours together TwT

The shading style is my favourite. It's easy to do (especially when I'm in a lazy mood lol)

Someone mentioned how the leaves look like lips, but I didn't think they were that creepy. Just imagine walking through a forest of them >:3 I rather like my leaves with holes o ho ho.

Speaking of which, I remember I had this sketch I did for fun, experimenting with perspective and scenery.

Character: Nakaja and Bobby's character, Jr.

I do really like the colors on that one! It has a very natural feel.

I think what contributes to the leaves' strangeness is that they don't really look like any normal leaves? I can't recall ever seeing a plant where the leaves had a big gap in the middle.

wow awesome lighting, it looks really real! I also love the shadows, which I suppose is the same thing but thats also really cool. Also how the characters have a lighter area around them to make them stand out more.
the sketch style is nice but maybe a little too rough for a "final piece" sketch feel. I really like the perspective, and great colours.

I can't recall ever seeing a plant where the leaves had a big gap in the middle.
I can't officially either, but I'm sure I've seen something like that on a nature program or something. It's certainly not the normal leaf you'd find outside your house :P

Thank you everyone!
Happy to hear the colours look good and that the perspective came through. :)

@Coryn Huh, I guess if you ever see those leaves somewhere you know you're not on earth anymore heheh

@Suuper Ahh I see what you mean about the roughness. I'll keep that in mind if I ever do another drawing like this. Thanks

@Fro Heeey good to see you. Thanks!

@Walter Thanks man XD

Already commented on DA, but yeah really liking this stuff Echo. I prefer the non-color stuff, but either way they deserve to be illustrations in books

Thanks Lego XD Yeah I figured ya'll still preferred the traditional stuff based on the responses haha.
I've always wanted to write something like a LN and put my own drawings in it. A project to plan for the future.

Update --

Some digital character design stuff from a story I wanted to make into a game... far ambitions, heh. I actually redrew these from a bunch of old sketches from 2010 (not showing you those  )

nice consistent style on all of those!
well if the original sketches are too bad to show then that's totally proof you have improved!!
I like the backgrounds on the bottom two.
and a LN or game, huh. It's good to have a far off goal, it keeps us on a feet and not stagnating :P I'm sure I've got a novel in me somewhere :P
what sort of game are you thinking of making?
