I think it's muscles need to show through more (Dunno how one does it, but that's what I can tell from what I see). But nice one there. Not sure what is happening on the bottom left haha. Those horns are huge, and the eyes look pretty terrifying.

As for changing image size I might have helped. It's better to resize it locally on your computer, but here is the code

[img width=*640 height=*672]image_link_here [*/*img]

*remove the stars

Thank you guys!

Bottom left is supposed to be like a rock. Maybe it will be clear if I get around coloring it  :D  And thanks for the tip!!

I think Naruto has always been king at drawing landscapes. I always respect Kishimoto for that. You should check out some of the rocks he draws, could be of interest to you

That's a nice drawing, Walter.  But this guy looks like bit more hairy than the real thing. haha Do you know the first thing came to mind ? Starwars The Empire Strikes Back, That snow creature in planet Hoth.  :)

Good stuff. Keep posting more drawings!

I think you will find Hasith, that that creature is actually called a wampa, a word which derives from... *becomes buried in star wars trivia*

Thanks guys  ;)

Just an experiment in trying to quickly put a background on it. Took some pic from google and used a screentone from mangastudio :-\

I think posterizing the image behind would at least make it blend better. Screentone looks good on that thing though. Keep at it!

How long have you been using mangastudio? Are you using any tutorials for it?

Thanks! What is posterizing?  :-\

I haven't used it very much. Just made a few comics with quick sketches to get the feeling of paneling, adding effect lines and such (that hisoka vs nobunaga thing and the opium island one). I just had a quick look at screentones yesterday from a youtube video. Maybe if I save some money I could get a tablet later this year. Should make things go better.

Maybe a silly question but is there any way to have the same screentone but make it blue somehow so it fits the background better? they are all grayish.

And do you know if there is a quick way to crosshatch in mangastudio? Like if I get the crosshatching pattern from some image and then use it as a brush or a pen tip so I can add crosshatching freely.

Thank you!!!

It's a function in photoshop and the likes that simplifies colours, so photographs aren't rendered in lots of colours but only a few shades

I have no idea on that front. I haven't worked with the software before. Maybe Jamie would know something? I'll point anyone I know to your question if I find them. I'm pretty useless on the digital front of things, since i've been drawing traditionally mainly

Thank you! That looks cool. I get what you mean now. I have seen a couple of online tools that "turn" a photo into a drawing in a similar fashion, I will check out some and see if I end up with something cool

You know by any chance if you can get photoshop for free somewhere?

Wow, I just got shivers. Reminds me of Devilman or something by Kazuo Umezu. Old school manga with its terrifying plots sometimes.
