GRANSORA (One Shot/ Chapter 0)
« on: January 24, 2014, 02:03:06 PM »
This is a really short one shot of my manga GRANSORA. Well, it's more of a prologue, and chapter 1 takes place after its events.

Read from Right to left.

I have names/storyboards for 6 pages overall, but it's not certain and I might remove some scenes.

Sadly this the extent of what I can do in Photoshop. I tried inserting the tones you posted some while ago but I didn't know how

on page 1, you did a fairly decent job on one tree branch, but the one farther away looks like no effort was done to adding any form of dimension. in fact that scene looks really off. its probably that you made th fence to thick that it doesn't add the proper dimensions of the branch being really far...and the contrast between the main character's line width and the tree's looks off.

Anything else I should look out for before inking the rest?

i'm pretty sure u can add shade on top of shade....so don't be afraid to add more shades into it. (but also make sure that theres enough lighting to allow it)

I'm not liking the idea of using heaven and hell and then combining with original ideas. the whole idea of using religious references is to "compliment" the source material.

if you end up inventing this one tiny aspect, it means that the other aspects were pointless to even reference.

GRanSora as in what i believe "Grand Sky" but how the discussion of Gransora began was too soon or rather not any evidence of why it was necessary in the first place. I really didn't understand why they got stuck with eachother.

the kid is acting normal, but the other is pushing for the sake of the story. i'm not even sure why he referenced his entrance (and that's probably because the way you drew that scene was mis-proportioned that i couldn't tell exactly what was your intentions).
